Who You Callin' Turkey?

This has been BIG week for changes. Gavi started full time daycare, I went back to work, and his 1st birthday was yesterday.

By the time I get home at the end of the day, it's already 5:30 and then Gavi's bed time is at 7:00. From the time we walk through the front door, we have dinner and then a bath, which doesn't leave us much room for mommy and me play time. So we try to make the best of the hour and a half.

It's hard to believe he's the big 1! He's grown so much. Sniff sniff.

Love to all.

Yes, Another Post

So out of guilt for going back to work full time, I'm trying to make it up to Gavi by doing fun things with him during my last week of freedom. We took him to an indoor play gym called "Leapin' Lizards". Needless to say, Gavi had the BEST time. He was all over the place and wore himself out. I've always been grossed out by the pool of plastic balls these places have. It's not like a swimming pool where the chlorine can somewhat disinfect what's been left behind by precious inhabitants. The ball pit just gives me the heebee jeebeeis. I saw a huge machine in the corner of the room properly labeled "plastic ball cleaner". So I thought, how dirty could it be? And with that, in Gavi went. He dove head first.

Gavi also enjoyed the tunnels

And was great at balencing himself on the unstable serfaces.

There is no doubt in my mind, we'll be there again.

Making Up For Lost Time

Here are some pictures from Hilton Head. Enjoy.

Gavi got up so early every day that we were able to watch the sun rise. Thanks Gavs.

What to do?

I know it's been almost a month since my last confession. We've been pretty busy. Gavi's been to Cape Cod and to Hilton Head since we last posted. He had a great time hangin' by both beaches and pools. If you asked him, he said he liked the beach better in Hilton Head but the weather was more tolerable in Cape Cod. Yes, Gavi is a snob.

Don't worry, we wore LOTS of sunscreen.
Gavi's in exploring mode. Getting into everything. He's found where mommy keeps all her shabbat serving pieces, cleaning supplies, and he's even learned how to open the oven when mommy (ok ok daddy) wants to cook.

Gavi's also started to think about what he wants to do with his life.
Does he want to clean houses? He can start with his mommy's.
Maybe he wants to work with computers.
Or maybe, just maybe, he wants to take after his daddy.

Only time will tell.

Much love.
